May Flowers & New Beginnings

Updated: Nov 18, 2020

Spring has finally sprung up here in the mountains... bright yellow daffodils are literally springing up more and more every day! Not only are these blooms a first significant sign of Spring, but they also symbolize rebirth and new beginnings. As I look at these flowers and contemplate our current situation, I asked myself, "How can this be a new beginning?" It can be many different positive things! It can be starting a home practice. Attending more than 1 class a week. Starting a garden. It can be anything your heart desires!

I thought I'd share what I see when I'm teaching you. Along with my assistant, Elsie, you can see it's become quite the production! I have my laptop (Mission Control), a large TV so I can see your "thumbnail images" larger, and my iPhone on a tripod to video what I'm doing so that you can see me better!

Some of you may notice that I am no longer teaching from my yoga loft, which is above the great room. Sharing space has brought up respect to others. I set up teaching classes from a bedroom so I can leave my teaching set up (which is quite the production), and be mindful to my partner, Chris, so as not to disrupt him. As you can see, the room is carpeted, which is not ideal, but it works!

I hope you are making the most of your home practice while sheltering in place. From the looks of things, we are going to be in this type of yoga class situation for a while longer. Consider it a New Beginning!

Namaste,

Mimi
